gENERAL iNFORMATION
La Bordeghina is a historic farmhouse and barn set in the Po river estuary area in the Veneto region, North-East Italy. The property is situated in the middle of the countryside, with historical sites in the area dating back to the bronze era. The origin of the current building can be ascribed to a member of the Grimani family who, back in 1560, was the owner of a reeds and straw building on the site of the B&B. An old document dated 1615 is then providing the name of Bordeghina to the property, arising from a certain Giacomo Bordeghin, tenant farmer of the Grimani Family. The land registry of 1775 is then providing a graphical representation of the house, made this time of bricks and with the addition of stables and barn. In nineteenth century the granary floor and the cellar were built.
The current structure of La Bordeghina has been reached after a general restoration of the property made between 1996 and 2000 by the current owner Enrico Maragno. During the restoration process the aim has been to protect the most important details of the property, preserving the wonderful historical features, and at the same time to provide the comfort of the modern buildings. In 2002 a portion of the property has been allocated to create La Bordeghina Bed and Breakfast.

Parking, Bicycles & Walking
We have a large parking area for our guests free of charge. Bicycles can be securely stored overnight. For guests interested, bicycles are available free of charge. For walkers there is a countryside path leading to the estuary of the river Po. Business Facilities Wifi is available in all the B&B area and in all rooms. Sports & Relax Facilities On site sport facilities include a tennis court and a five-a-side football court. The relax area includes a barbecue and an outdoor swimming pool with beach loungers available for guests. The use of the Sport & Relax Facilities is free of charge for the guests. Games Room A game room is available free of charge for guests. Games include a large pool table, table tennis, table soccer and darts. |
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the rooms of La Bordeghina. However, if you have a pet visiting us we may recommend to book a room in our Villa Grimani apartments partner venue. Wi-Fi La Bordeghina is fitted with high-speed internet connection (10MBps / 1 MBps ). Wi-Fi signal is available in all the areas of the B&B and in all the rooms. The service is free of charge.
